Trick or Treat

This year I wasn't near as creative with costumes as last year. Jeffrey was Chicken Boy again.

Jessalyn was a unicorn. The tail was just too cute.. I tried to get a good pic of her from behind so you guys could see.

And then of course Baby JackJack in his Halloween wear.

Just to Laugh....

OKay.... This is an email I would normally have deleted without reading but it did make me laugh so I am sharing... Check out this link.>>> Babies

The Lineup

Jessa LOVES her horses as you all know. She has amassed quite a collection. I happen to know of at least 3 horses that were not present for her lineup this morning. (I was informed that her horse named Lydia was taking a nap.) All these horses. I think she has enough. But she sees them and just loves each one even with their flaws. (And There are many. LOL) We have horses with no tail, no mane, and broken legs bandaged withpacking tape. Some horses can not stand up alone but Jessa smiles and says that's okay... He can just lean against the barn. :) So glad sweet Jessa takes care of her horses even the not perfect ones mom would throw away. Over 20 horses and only a 3 stall barn, it was too cramped so their new "barn" is her closet. She plays in there with them alot.

It was brought to my attention that I say Jackson is fussy alot but he looks like such a happy baby all the time in my photos. SOoooo... for you doubters... I have posted some picks of Jack in his natural state. :)

Another Jessa-ism

So Jeff was dancing with Jackson in the Living Room and teasingly said, "Get your groove on!" Jessaln LAughed and said, "Yeah! Get your shoes on!" We laughed and she said. "You need shoes to dance?"

The Heavens Opened

Last night my niece Caitlin spent the night with us, so after church we drove down to Madisonville to take her home. As we were driving Jeffrey says, "Hey Mom! Look! I can see the Heavens opening and Light shining down on where people are praying!"
Sure enough, That's what it looked like. From the mouth of Babes we shall be taught. :)

To Sleep with Innocent Abandon

A long time ago in a class I took, Psychology maybe?, Anyhow, It said that when we are very young, Healthy children will sleep completely "exposed", tummy up, arms outstretched, legs spread. It is a sign of a healthy child when they sleep in such a way. Abused children will rarely sleep in an "exposed" position. Most would sleep on their stomachs or curled into a ball. And as we grow older and learn of the dangers in the world around us we are less likely to be able to sleep comfortably in an exposed position, even in deepest sleep.

Like I said, I have no idea where exactly I heard this but it is one of those things I read and it stuck. So tonight I slipped into Jessa's room to put away some laundry and I found her "exposed" in sleep. I smiled, covered her up and went back to sorting laundry... I look over on the bed and there is Jack sleeping in an exact replica of Jessa's position. Too Cute. Had to get the camera. Tried to get Jeffrey but he must have passed that stage of sleepless abandon. He rolled over every time the camera flashed. Sleep Well! :)

Just me gabbin to myself

So, I bet you're all wondering what's up? Nothin much.. Still just unpacking all these mingled boxes between Jackson's demands for attention! :)
I do have some Jessa-isms for ya though....
"Stanky"- (must be said with a wrinkled nose) The State of Jack-Jack's Diaper on a regular basis.
"Snobber"- When you hold a tissue to her nose and tell her to blow her nose and she gives a pbbhhtt with her mouth. ("Yeah, That's great Jessa, Now blow your Nose!" says mommy.)

Oh well, I suppose that's all for tonight as Jackson is making himself known again!
P.S. I am downloading my pics off my camera from the last couple months so scroll down and look at some earlier dates. I am entering a couple of them on the dates the pics were taken.

Things I have learned about Moving...

1. Don't cry... "It" will break during shipping. (sniff... Sniff...)
2. Hire a cleaning company to clean on the day of possession.. (Eew eeeww eeeww! I don't like cleaning my own shower soap scum let alone someone else's that hasn't been cleaned in a year and a half!) I seriously would have been ashamed to leave my home half as dirty as this lady left hers. I would have to pray to NEVER meet up with her again.
3. Invest in shelf paper. Shelf paper is my friend. (after cleaning crew has come through.) And like I would put my dishes in those cupboards???!!! Even after scrubbin em down with detergent and bleach- This house is in a very nice neighborhood... not the Hood like my previous one! LOL
4. Buy a new fridge.... Okay maybe you can bypass this if home comes with a good one and the cleaning crew is instructed to clean it. The one left for us was seriously disgusting... coffee grounds in the bottom, spilled food... just eeewww!
5. When moving appliances... Even when the guys do it for a living, insist on laying down a cardboard box. (Yeah, when delivering my new fridge, the delivery guys mutilated the new kitchen floor. Never fear, it will be replaced at their expense next week.)
6. I was WAY to lenient when I got into my house. I was a good seller if I do say so myself. I let the soon to be owners come over, take pictures, show their friends. I moved in 20 days!!! Ugh, a week after we had closed, (we closed the 29th of Sept) The previous owners finally come over to dig up the plants they wanted out of the yard. (Was supposed to be done when they vacated on the 2nd. {Note that is 3 days after closing and they were still removing stuff from the garage and shed all afternoon that day!} I allowed they could come the next day - the 3rd, they called and asked to come on the following Saturday 7th. And they were here ALL DAY!) Hello... You don't own the house anymore.... you can leave now! :P
7. Just Breathe, Breathing is good.
8. Wall Murals look cool but must be put up by an Octopus or a Spider as they require many more arms than a human has. Or even 2 humans have! hehehe...
9. Electronics cords disappear into a black hole when you move. It sucks them in- never to return until you have paid and arm and 2 legs to buy all new ones and then they will magically appear in a box you have looked into 6 times. ( I am set to break down to buy new computer cords tryin' to fake mine out into showing up.)
10. If you are going to mark a box MISC or Miscellaneous..... Let me kill you now! LOL>>> Bless their hearts we truly appreciated our loving friends that came and helped endless hours getting us moved. Especially with me being sick and having baby Jack and all. But the sheer number of boxes I found marked miscellaneous was unreal. If there was 1, there had to have been 30. No joke. Why did we bother to mark it???? Chuckle

and finally... MOVING JUST STINKS!! We will make this home and One day I will get it just the way I want it--- and move the next month! :)
