Spelling Bee

Jeffrey received 4th place in the school 2nd grade spelling bee!! We are so proud of him! He was calm and collected the entire time. It was an honor for him to even get to compete. They had 2 class level spelling bees and the top 3 children from each class was asked to participate in the school level 2nd grade spelling bee. (FYI there are 6, 2nd grade classes at his school.)

The word that got him out was "difference" which he spelled "diffrence." Of the top 4 2 were from Mrs. Leslie's class. The 3rd place winner got out in the same round directly behind Jeffrey. So it was close! :) We Love you Jeffrey! You did a great job!
Aren't daddy and Jackjack Cute!

Another Jessa-ism

Jessa runs through the kitchen like she is driving a car.

Jeff: Young lady you are in violation for exceeding the speed limit.

Jessalyn: What does that mean?

Jeff: You are speeding and need to slow down.

Jessalyn: But Dad, That's how my car goes!

Aren't these cute pics. This was one morning before church this past month. Jessalyn wanted pictures of her with her "ears" which is what she called her mini buns. Hehehe. She was Smelling the blossoms on the tree.

Tired Baby

JAck is like most babies his age and HATES to sleep because he realizes he may miss something. So lately he has been fighting his nap times. This day he fell asleep on the tray of his walker. Poor little guy. Another day he was in the shower and decided to put his little head down and was out like a light. Lucky it wasn't the tub! hehehe. Now off to bed! :)

Amy’s Birthday Party

Amy celebrated her 8th birthday party this Saturday at Chucky Cheese. She made out in the present department! Wow wee!

Doesn't Jack look so small in his Clifford ride? He had a blast as it chugged along. (It stopped right as mom got the camera out though.)

Jeffy, Jessa, and Jack-Jack all had a lot of fun. Jessalyn was around more often for pics. J

Jeffrey made himself scare except for a few times when we caught up with him. Here he is in deep concentration playing a helicopter game.

Here is Jessalyn playing air Hockey on a table that is just her size! Go Jessa Go!

I have decided that Chucky Cheese on a Saturday is insane. It was a mad house! It was so noisy. All those kids just having so much fun and being kids. I think next trip we will have to try it on a less busy day!

THe Voracious Reader

Jeffrey was honored at his school this week for reading. He was given 2 awards. Jeffrey is reading more than a grade level above his grade and received recognition for that as well as being the top reader in his class. His school participates in the Accelerated Reader program and he receives x number of points from each book he reads. Since he has only been in his class since January he REALLY worked hard to get so many points and be the top reader! He loves his chapter books now and reads alot of them! We are so proud of you Jeffrey!

Finals Week... FinaLLY!

Ahhhh so finals week is drawing to a close. I have one more final in my experimental PSY class. But all the others are finished. Stress levels are coming down, yeah! I took the one that had me stressing the most today (Statistics). So far I have 4 grades posted and they are all A's. WOOHOO! I'd love to have another 4.0 for the semester but it would take a miracle to get that A in statistics. :) I believe in statistical world we would say that has a probability of 0+. :) Anyhow!
Jeff got a A on his History final though he doesn't yet have his final grade in the class. So WOohoo, awesome job to him!
