Too Many Gifts!

As always we all got way to many presents this year. Mom just can't seem to keep it small. hehhee.. Not that we truly mind! :) I hope everyone has a great Christmas this year! Muh!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

BTW Santa and God did finally get together and Jessa Did find Fairy Wishes Dora under the tree. (For those of you that don't know each night for the past month, Jessa has said in her nightly prayer, "And Please bless I can get Fairy Wishing Dora." )

The Pagent

When I was growing up every year on Christmas eve My parents would read the Christmas story. My brothers and I would pull out every bathrobe in the house and put towels and belts on our heads as costumes and act out the Christmas story. (Yes, I was always Mary, except for the year Brandy was with us and I got to be the Angel.) We usually had Sheep in long underwear and extra "wise guys" as my brothers called themselves. Along with the standard shepherds, Mary and Joseph. If there was a baby in the family, he got to be Baby Jesus but more often than not it was one of my cabbage patch dolls.

So this year, Jeffrey, Jessalyn and Jackson were the actors in the reading of the Christmas story. I love that I can pass this tradition down to my children. Poor Jessalyn was running a high fever all had and made a rather somber Mary but soo sweet.
And Last but not least we had to have Uncle Jonny being a Ham of a Wise Guy! :)

The Latest- For the Shiniest Hair Ever!

Jack's newest favorite past time is sittin on Uncle Will's head and Drooling into his hair. hehehehe. Joey will pick him up when he starts fussing and this will usually occupy him for short while. Well I suppose all that slobber has some vitamins in it. Maybe you can call it a new conditioner???

Learning to Scream

Anyone who has rough housed with Jeffrey knows he has a hiugh pitched "girlie" Scream. So tonight Jon And Joe were teasing him. (Yea they both just got in today for the holiday weekend.) Anyhow, They were playing with him and decided something must be done about that "girlie" Scream. So they had lessons on how to scream in a "manly" way. LOL!!! Yep, It was all very manly. No more AHH!! it's more like Argh!!! Chuckle! Hehehhe.. I can't wait to see what they come up with next! Their own children, when they come along will be a total riot.

O christmas Tree

So I left Jack sitting in the corner of the couch since he is still not quite sitting up by himself. You can only leave him for a minute before he flops over, normally. Welp, today I left him to grab a drink from the kitchen and when I came back there he was stretching for all he was worth to grab the Christmas Tree. :) Those little red balls were just irresistible! And worth his effort to squirm around to get em!

Dad's 'Vette

So for my Entire Life, I have heard Dad talk about his vette. He said one day he would own one. He loved corvettes. He would see one and talk about them and what a great car they were. He would stop in a parking lot and check them out. So now, he finally got one a 1981 Corvette. Hehhehe... He loves it! He can't wait to spend time with it. Half the fun is the fixing it up. The engine works great with lots of extras for a sup'd up engine. So now he will work on the physical appearance. But he loves that corvette even with it's primer paint job! :) The day after he got it, he was even out there washing it up. Hehehe... Like it made a difference to the primer! Gotta love it. He is buying corvette catelogs for corvette parts and all kinds of corvette merchandise. He has already bought a specialty hood for it.

I am so glad he finally has his Corvette he has always wanted and I wish him many happy hours making it his own!

Bubble Wrap

So Aunt Deborah sent a gift and in it was something Jack thought belonged to him. AS I took out the gift (No, I didn't cheat! It was wrapped under the bubbles.) I took off about 12 ft of bubble wrap. Jack caught the end of it and started rollin around. He had a great time with it! Then mommy ruined all his fun and took it away. Mean 'ol mommy!

Him's a Happy Boy!

We are seeing a lot more smiles from Jack-Jack now. He still likes to be held most of the time, but it is getting better about taking a few minutes here and there on the floor or in the swing and stuff. He is now reaching for things. (He especially loves Hair, Just ask Jessalyn!) He is frequently rolling over. Hooray! No more vegetable baby! hehehe... He is even trying to sit up now, but still has a round bottom. I was so worried because he wasn't doing these things yet then right after Thanksgiving... Boom! He did them all at once!

And just in case anyone was wondering he still weighs right at 17 lbs. At his last Dr. Appt he was 50% in weight for his age and 75% in height. :)

The Creche' Exibit

What is a Creche Exibit you ask? It is a Nativity display. The Stake in Evansville sponsors one each year, this is the 4th year. There are sooo many different nativities. It was SO awesome! So many people depicting Christ's birth in so many different artistic ways. I took pictures but it really does not do it justice. Some were entire towns with so much detail! There were 456 Nativities displayed in all. There was an International room with Nativities from many different countries. There was a white room, a glass room, a children's room, a fabric- made room, a unusual nativity room, a miniatures room, a wood room, As well as artist's displayed donated by area galleries. It was very moving. I just can not describe how beautiful an experience it was to see. There was also a Live Nativity and a family room where the kids could dress up, and do crafts and activities. Soooo.... Knowing all that.... I hope you can see why it was Very hard for me to choose what photos to put on here! But here are some Favorites! :)

EZ Fudge

MMMMMM... holiday fudge!!! Okay, so perhaps my fudge does not look that good. hehehe... but I did make some fudge tonight using Great Hensley's EZ recipe. I can't wait for it to set so I could try it!

I spoke with her on the phone a while ago. She had knee surgery this past week. She seemed really tired. She said she had physical therapy this morning and then group physical therapy. I could tell she was still on oxygen. And totally wiped out. Agh! So keep her in your thoughts and prayers as she trys to recover. She should come home from the hospital on Saturday when the kids and I get there.

If the kids are too much, I dunno if we will stay the whole weekend. But if I can be of help I will. Grandma says Grandpa is lost and was pretty funny trying to figure out how to turn on the dishwasher. hehehehe...

Jessalyn- "Jeffy will you play the oreo game with me? It's a 2 player game."
Jeffrey- " I'm watching a show, not now."

Jessalyn, still cheerfully,- "Well, I guess it can be a one player game."

Eatin Pizza

So PIzza Hut may recommend eating your pizza crust first but Jessalyn has always had her very own way to eat Pizza. She eats it upside down. Always has... Silly girl! Lucky thing she likes cheese pizza or she would lose her fixin's!!
(And yes she is laying on the living room floor because when I got out the camera she got shy and ran into the lviing room and wouldn't let me take a picture until I convinced her but this was the best face I could get.)

Prayers...

Ok, so kids are funny. Tonight we said family prayer and then since it is an even night, I took Jessa to tuck her in and say her prayer and Jeff took Jeffrey. We both had some cute lil prayers tonight.

Last week at family home evening we talked about the way to say a prayer...
Address Heavenly Father
Thank him
Ask for what blessings you need
End in the name of Jesus Christ.

Everynight when Jessa prays she thanks heavenly father for "horses and ponies and unicorns." It's standard now. So tonight Jessa says her usual, then stops and looks at me and says, "Can I ask for two unicorns?"
Meanwhile, Jeffy says his prayer and says. " I am thankful for the Doctor and Covenants."
hehehehe... I just love it. I am sure Heavenly Father has to chuckle when he hears prayers like that. :)

I'm Pumpin'

So it was a busy day today.
Jessalyn had her 2nd Riding lesson today. She loved it of course. She did basically the same things as before. Only a little more and she let the pony go at a faster pace, more of a Trot.
Then Jessa and Mommy and Jack ran some errands, new battery for the van, post office and stuff. We got back home for about a hour and then loaded up to get Jeffrey at the bus stop and a "quick" run to Wal-mart to get the new Movie Cars. (Is there a such thing as a quick run to WalMart?)
ANyhow, Then we headed out to Jeffys School where they were having a fall festival. It was western themed , they had the gym set up as a western town and each "building" was a different game booth. So the kids got lots of noisy toys to annoy their moms with and the school made a killngon the tickets. But it was fun. In the town square they had one of those bull rides. Kindof on one of the jumpy things and there were 4 people in the corners and pulling ropes to make teh bull buck. It was a $1 to ride and I swear those poor folks arms ,must have felt ready to fall off. It was fun. Jeffrey was bucked off but Jessalyn had a great ride. Hehhehe.. They were super gentle on Jessa, I think her horse Judy gave her more of a jolt this morning. LOL... ( and yes, I had my camera but didn't think to get it out an take pics sorry!)
Anyhow, So then we returned home and had a late movie night to watch Cars. Jeff just got home. So I said, okay. Jackson is asleep but I am still full so I am going to go pump. Jessa, all innocence, says, "Gas?" We had a good laugh. Sweet girl, thats what we usually mean when we say that! chuckle. Have a great night all!

My Nest

So, today Jackson was down for a nap and Jessa curled up in the chair with me for a rare moment. She says, " Mom, I want to put my head on your nest."
"My nest? You mean my chest?"
"Nope, Your nest, you know, under your neck!"
:)

Tuna Wiggle

Jessa Loves to work in the kitchen and has since she was little. There are alot of pics of her at mom's house cooking. So tonight I was beginning to make dinner and Jessa says, "I wanna Help!" So I got out the kids cookbook mom bought us a while ago, (actually I think it was ours when I was little, anyhow....) I put Jessa to work. She made a recipe called Tuna Wiggle. She was so thrilled that SHE Made dinner (with just a little help.) Her little casserole was pretty decent as far as Tuna Casseroles go. But both Jessa and Jeffy said the waterchestnuts were gross and left lil piles of them on the sides of their plates. Pic from Nov 2004.. Grandma and Jessa making baked chicken.

Plus... as a bonus, there was a MERMAID on the can! WOW! Now I have several can's of tuna lined up on my kitchen floor so we can admire the mermaid on them. :)

Riding Lessons

Sweet Jessa is going to get to take riding lessons. She had her first one Last night. She is starting on a miniature horse named Judy. She learned to put the Bridal on Judy.

She first had to brush and curry the horse. She led her to the arena with a Lead rope.

Then she got to ride and she learned how to make Judy stop by saying "whoa" and sitting back. She can also make Judy go again by squeezing her legs around her. :)
Next lesson Jessa will try to learn about riding with the saddle and how to hook it up. (eekk!)
